LETTER TO THE EDITOR JUNE 25, 2000 RE: CLINTON'S NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER
BY RONN D. AT FUTURESOURCE.

Hi .... I'm having trouble with AOL too.  And almost always with getting to
sensitive sites. The links on your posting on the UN trucks came back refused
entry whenever I sought to click on the close ups.

Regarding Clinton's Executive Order: it was posted as item number two on the
Whitehouse briefings site page for 6/22/00. Thus, it seems it's for real. And
yes, I'm still uneasy with it all. Did I sleep through something? Did we have
a war with Russia that we lost? This feels and looks too much like what
articles of surrender and the resultant reparations or ransom would look like.

Let's see, a declaration of an international/national emergency is being
declared on the basis of a nuclear threat -- weapons, materials, other -- to
America.  Our response to "the threat" is to open our vaults and to guarantee
that all guards, jurisdictions and official and nonofficial persons will step aside -- stand down -- and not interfere with the Russian "collectors." These are indeed new times. A most different and new world.  And here this seems to
be one of the most curious of this new world's -- executive -- orders.  I thought plunder came after the fracas; after a bout or two.  Hey, where's the referee?

This whole now long process of transferring our monies and technologies to
Russia for them to not misuse/use their weapons is too much like blackmail in
it's de facto outcome of us handing over our wealth -- and perhaps more -- to
them ... or else. Or else what? What exactly is hanging over our collective
heads to have us "pony up" and "payoff" like this? And by the way, where are
those 100 plus suitcase nukes?

I keep picturing those few Russian soldiers who blocked the NATO and American forces on that road to the airport in Kosovo. Didn't we all ask then, "Who's really in charge here?" Just perhaps we all have been sleeping through something.
