QUOTES (Classified) OF THE DAY [2/3/00]:
"Get to the point, I don't have time for this twaddle!" John’s Deutch’s catch phrase.
"Knowing him, and I do, I would guess his having that stuff on his own computer was ... typical. He thought he was above all of the petty rules which apply to mere mortals." Former CIA official regarding John Deutch.
"There's more covert action inside CIA than outside it." Anonymous CIA.
CIA CHIEF GEORGE TENET BARELY EXPLAINS HIS OLD BOSS DEUTCH’S UNUSUAL COMPUTER PRACTICES.
On February 2, 2000, the Director of the CIA, George Tenet testified before a Senate Committee about ex-CIA Director John Deutch. Tenet said there is no evidence that classified material improperly downloaded by John Deutch's into his unsecured CIA home computer was acquired by unauthorized parties via the Internet.
Committee chairman, Sen. Richard Shelby stated, "The American people have a keen interest in the performance of senior officials charged with upholding our laws and policies with respect to the protection of classified information, " said Shelby, R-Ala. Shelby asked Tenet if he could assure Congress that foreign powers or other unauthorized parties had not obtained internet access to Deutch's classified data. Tenet said: "We cannot exclude that possibility. I can't give you a statement that it absolutely didn't happen."
CBS News reports: "A classified report by the CIA's inspector general says that counter- intelligence investigators fear that Deutch used that same computer to visit "high risk" sites on the Internet, reports 60 Minutes Correspondent Lesley Stahl. That's according to current and former intelligence officials, who tell CBS News that "high risk" refers to Deutch's accessing of porno sites on the Internet and his e-mailing with a Russian scientist on his AOL account. According to one CBS News source, when Deutch was confronted with the evidence, he denied that he was the one who accessed the porno sites. "Who then?" he was asked. When he said someone else in his family, the counter-intelligence investigators- wondered how on earth he could have allowed anyone else to get close to a computer with the reams of highly classified materials he had taken home. Tenet told Congress that there is no evidence the classified material on Deutch's computer "fell into the wrong hands." But other sources tell CBS News that given the state of computer expertise today, the Russians could have sent something known as an electronic "Trojan Horse" into Deutch's computer, cleaned it out, and left no trace they'd ever been there. WHAT SECRETS DID DEUTCH STORE ON HIS HOME COMPUTER, OTHER THAN THAT PORNOGRAPHY SITE VISITED BY AN UNKOWN MEMBER OF HIS HOUSEHOLD?
U.S. SENATE! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW THE TYPES OF DATA DEUTCH WAS STORING AND DELETING. WAS IT DATA REGARDING NUCLEAR OR BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS SECRETS? THE IRAN CONTRA SCANDAL? PAM AM 103?
The FBI revealed the nature of the data that Wen Ho Lee allegedly downloaded into his home computer. The FBI provided the names of the miniature nuclear devices involved and their uses. Generic information about the topics of data stored in Deutch’s computer should be revealed.
U.S. SENATE! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW IF THE PORNOGRAPHY ACCESSED BY DEUTCH'S HOUSEHOLD WAS KIDDIE PORN. Stephen Singular in his book about the JonBenet Ramsey case, "Presumed Guilty" stated that high level military officials are involved in kiddie porn.
NOW, WEN HO LEE'S LAWYERS CAN NAIL DOWN THEIR CASE THAT DR. LEE WAS SUBJECTED TO SELECTIVE PROSECUTION! Justice in America is a sham if Deutch's violation of security is ignored, while Wen Ho Lee is faced with a potential life sentence for the same type of conduct.
JUST WHAT WAS THE SUBJECT MATTER OF ALL THOSE TOP CLASSIFIED FILES DEUTCH DOWNLOADED INTO HIS PERSONAL COMPUTER AFTER HE LEFT THE CIA? SOME SUGGESTIONS FROM NEWSMAKING NEWS:
Deutch was forced out of the CIA when he told Congress that U.S. missile strikes on Iran were not effective and hadn’t damaged Saddam Hussein. Clinton didn’t like this talk.
The Lockerbie Pam Am 103 trial is expected to commence in May 2000. The issue of whether U.S. DEA agents, the McKee team, were aboard Pam Am 103, flying home after investigating drug running by U.S. agents in Lebanon will probably be explored at the trial. "John Deutch acknowledges that the Pan Am 103 bombing occurred - it was the culmination of the internationalization of terrorism (in fact it was the largest single killing of American civilians by a foreign agency since at least WWII). As he ponders who is responsible for countering the threat of "terrorism [that] crosses national borders - as in the case of Pan Am 103 and al-Khobar" - the later an event with less than a tenth the death toll of Lockerbie - he considers first the FBI. Interestingly he simply elides over Pan Am 103 and examines Louis Freeh and the al-Khobar bombing, and never gets back or around to considering the FBI and its behavior in connection with Lockerbie. But there is a great deal more to ask about this topic, all of which remains unanswered."

CAN YOU CONNECT THE DOTS? Events in 1995 regarding China, breaches of national security, and campaign finance which may haunt DEUTCH, CLINTON, BUSH (and his son G.W Bush) and BILL BRADLEY.
On May 15, 1995 China conducted its first underground nuclear test blast in three years. On May 15, 1995, President Clinton's newly appointed Director of Central Intelligence John Deutch (former member of President Bush's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board in the early 1990s) announced the appointment of new CIA executives, Nora Slatkin, James Lilley (former Ambassador to China under Bush) and Brent Scowcroft (Bush’s National Security Advisor). By October 1995, Deutch replaced the entire top three tiers and most of the fourth tier of CIA managers with new employees.
In May 1995, China successfully test-fired its first mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (The Dong Feng 31) which has a range of 5,000 miles (extending to Europe and California.) In the spring of 1995, CIA agents in Taiwan discovered the theft of all seven of America's nuclear warhead designs, but failed to inform their boss, John Deutch.
On June 27, 1995, Bush visited CIA headquarters to receive several intelligence briefings.
In July 1995, Clinton's former Energy Secretary Hazel O'Leary, chief of staff Leon Panetta, and CIA Director John Deutch claim they first learned of China's theft of America's nuclear warhead designs. They allege they never informed President Clinton.
On July 14, 1995, President Clinton visited CIA headquarters. Deutch provided Clinton with intelligence briefings. It is alleged that Deutch failed to mention China's theft of all of America's nuclear weapons designs.
On July 17, 1995 Bush visited Clinton at the white House. Read the following excerpt from the July 21, 1995 White House press briefing by Press Secretary Mike McCurry:
"Q Were you able to find anything out on China and Bush?
MR. MCCURRY: I did. I talked to the President about that. They had a very good discussion. When President Bush was here for the unveiling of his portrait, the President had -- President Clinton had a very specific interest in talking to him about China. President Clinton is troubled by the current status of Sino-U.S. relations. I think he is very intent on making sure that in an honest and candid way, we address those impediments that exist in the bilateral relationship. And for that reason, he has been consulting with a number of those he considers expert on U.S.-China relations.
He met not long ago with Dr. Henry Kissinger who had just returned from a trip to China. In fact, Alexander Haig, John Whitehead, several others were part of that delegation, I believe --they were here for a visit with the President as well. He has talked to some -- additionally, to Senator Bill Bradley. He had an opportunity to talk to former Secretary (Lloyd) Bentsen recently who, as you know, has spent considerable amounts of time in China. And he specifically sought out former President Bush so he could talk about China.
They discussed Bosnia, too. The President was interested in reviewing that problem with him. But they discussed China at some length. They did not discuss any role that former President Bush might play if he indeed makes a trip to the People's Republic sometime shortly. But they did review the current status of the relationship. And President Clinton found President Bush's views helpful, very enlightening, and it was a good discussion all the way around."
On August 16, 1995, Senator Bradley announced his retirement from the Senate. This announcement occurred within one month of his meeting with Clinton regarding China and hours before China conducted its second underground nuclear test. Bradley said he discussed his retirement plans with Clinton just prior to his announcement. On August 16, 1995, China began war games off the coast of Taiwan. Bradley was a member of the Senate Energy Committee which oversaw the nuclear weapons laboratories including Los Alamos.
On September 13, 1995 President Clinton met at the White House with the Lippo Group's James Riady, C. Joseph Giroir of the Rose law firm, Bruce Lindsey, and Commerce Department official John Huang who was employed by the Lippo Group just prior to joining the Commerce Department in 1994. It was reported that during the meeting, the decision was made that Huang would leave Ron Brown's Commerce Department and become a senior fund-raiser for the Democratic National Committee.
On September 21, 1995 President Clinton made a campaign stop in Long Beach, California and met with Long Beach Mayor Beverly O'Neil. On September 21, 1995, President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore attended a fund-raising event organized by Chong Lo at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
In September 1995 President Clinton, Leon Panetta, and Deputy Defense Secretary John White met with Clinton and discussed plans to transfer control of Long Beach Naval Station to the city of Long Beach. Did they know they also planned to lease it to China's COSCO? Navy Secretary John Dalton and Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Jeremy "Mike" Boorda approved the transfer.
In November 1995, CIA Director Deutch is reported to have finally briefed National Security Advisor Anthony Lake about China's theft of America's nuclear weapon designs. Still, Clinton was not informed.
In November 1995, allegedly for the first time, Attorney General Janet Reno, Defense Secretary Perry, and FBI Director Louis Freeh learned that China had possession of America's classified nuclear weapons designs. No one told Clinton about this. (Did Clinton have prior knowledge despite the reports of his lack of knowledge?)
In late 1995 and early 1996, Department of Energy counter-intelligence agent Notra Trulock provided his findings that China possessed America's classified nuclear secrets to the FBI.. Several FBI and Department of Energy officials then visited three weapons labs--Lawrence Livermore, Sandia, and Los Alamos-- and studied the travel and work records of lab scientists who had access to these secret designs. In February 1996, the FBI and Department of Energy narrowed its focus to five possible suspects. One of these suspects was and is Dr. Wen Ho Lee. The identity of other suspects has not been revealed as of February 3, 2000.
